A cartoon in New Vision
A powerful picture of Kagame’s demands to the Catholic Church. I admire some intelligence more than others. The one displayed in the cartoon is so compelling that it would be unfair not to highlight it.
During the recently ended so called national dialogue where president Kagame brought together thousands of compatriots from all over the world to come and praise him for his achievements, one of the central themes was the accusation against the Catholic Church for its eventual role in the Rwandan genocide.
While the Catholic Church as an institution is resisting such accusation, president Kagame wants it instead to pay reparations to the genocide survivors. But his ultimate strategy is to dispossess the Church of all its possessions in Rwanda, as he has done so far with the Hutu community that he accuses collectively of genocide.
The Truth can be buried and stomped into the ground where none can see, yet eventually it will, like a seed, break through the surface once again far more potent than ever, and Nothing can stop it. Truth can be suppressed for a "time", yet It cannot be destroyed. ==> Wolverine
