May this memorial candle lights up the historical past of our beloved Country: Rwanda, We love U so much. If Tears could build a stairway. And memories were a lane. I would walk right up to heaven. To bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken. No time to say goodbye. You were gone before I knew it And. Only Paul Kagame knows why. My heart still aches with sadness. And secret tears still flow. What It meant to lose you. No one will ever know.

Two of the highlights of this weekend's Conference of ICTR Defense attorneys in The Hague were the French investigative writer, Pierre Péan, author of the magnificent history of the Rwandan counter-revolution (1990-1994), "Noires fureurs, blancs menteurs," and the Tutsi Prince, Antoine Nyetera, the source of Péan's controversial four-page aria on the Rwandan (Tutsi) culture of the lie (known in Kinyarwanda as ubwenge) at the very beginning (pp 41-44) of his 500+page tome.
One or the other or both of them smartly pointed out that the 'culture of the lie' is characteristic to all irrational, anti-democratic, neofeudal, monarchic, minoritarian--in a word, Fascist--political cultures. The ruling minority, in constant fear of being turned out by the masses they exploit for their privileges, always play it fast and loose with the Truth, with History, with Reality. And if you have a problem with that fact, then you're probably a neofeudal nostalgic, a cringing anti-democrat, a wincing Czarist, a putrid piece of Nazi scum.
Péan's book came out in 2005 at about the same time that journalist Stephen Smith leaked in Le Monde the report of French anti-terrorist judge, Jean-Louis Bruguière's investigation into the 6 April 1994 missile strike against the Rwandan presidential jet that cost the lives of two democratically elected African heads of state, Presidents Juvénal Habyarimana of Rwanda and Cyprien Ntaryamira of Burundi, their entourages, the Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Army, Déogratias Nsabimana, and the three-man French flight crew, Jacky Heraud (pilot), Jean-Pierre Minaberry (co-pilot), and Jean-Marc Perrine (flt engineer), the three French nationals whose families instigated the Bruguière investigation.

Dans ce livre sur le génocide rwandais, qui en 1994 a fait selon l'ONU 800. 000 morts, essentiellement parmi la minorité tutsie, Pierre Péan soutient que "la culture du mensonge et de la dissimulation domine toutes les autres chez les Tutsis".
"Dès leur plus tendre enfance, écrit-il encore dans les quatre pages incriminées, les jeunes Tutsis étaient initiés à la réserve, au mensonge, à la violence et à la médisance". "C'est ce qui fait de cette race l'une des plus menteuses qui soit sous le soleil".

Arusha TZ – Nov. 17 -- The Bureau of ICTR-ADAD (Association des Avocats de la Defense), welcomes today’s Trial Chamber Judgement acquitting the second defendant in as many days. The court ordered the immediate release of Fr. Hormisdas Nsengimana, who was charged with genocide and crimes against humanity committed in Rwanda in 1994.

Refusé les soins de santé à Appoline Twizerimana qui est morte sur le coup. Ils ont tué à coups de machettes - les petites filles ( 6 et 8 ans à peu-porès je ne me souviens pas de leur age exactement) de ma soeur Pénine : m'-a-t-on expliqué les témoins oculaires.

ARUSHA, TZ – Nov. 17 -- The Bureau of the ICTR Defense Lawyers Association (ADAD) applauds the Appeal Chamber rejection of charges of “genocide planning” in acquitting Protais Zigiranyirazo, the brother-in-law of Rwandan President Habyarimana whose assassination in April 1994 triggered the violence that swept Rwanda, which has been portrayed as a “long-planned genocide.”
Allegations that close associates of Habyarimana, (labeled the Akazu or “small house” in Kinyarwanda) were engaged in a conspiracy to kill “Tutsis and moderate Hutus” were rejected by the court for the second time in less than a year.
The acquittal adds to growing evidence that Kagame and the RPF has conducted a successful disinformation campaign to de-legitimize the former Rwandan government, and to deflect attention from their own crimes in Rwanda and the Congo. In December 2008 the NY Times and most recent of four Reports by UN Experts detailed the occupation and illegal theft of Congo resources by Rwanda and Uganda since the 1996 invasion, which has resulted in some 6-million civilian deaths.
The Appeal Chamber acquittal follows the December 2008 Military-1 Trial Chamber Judgement, published in Feb. 2009, acquitting four high-ranking military officers FOUND NOT guilty of “conspiracy to commit genocide,” including Colonel Theoneste Bagosora, the alleged “author of the genocide.”
After 7-years of trial, the court found that Prosecutor’s evidence was explained by normal military planning in the course of the war that raged for 4-years, following the 1990 invasion of Rwanda from Uganda, by the RPF army of current Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

HISTORIC FIRST INTERNATIONAL DEFENSE COUNSEL CONFERENCE CONVENES AT THE HAGUE:
“The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and Its Legacy” 
THE HAGUE – 16 Nov. -- For the first time in history, defense lawyers before international criminal courts convened a self-organized conference to discuss, and publicize, the obstacles that prevent accused persons from receiving fair trials, particularly at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR). The co-sponsors included 20 law-schools, lawyers and human-rights groups from Europe, Africa and N. America.

Complicity and Cover-Up in the Most Serious Crimes since the U.N. founding
On February 6, 2008 judge Fernando Andreu Merelles issued an indictment against 40 top officials of the RPF (Rwandan Patriotic Front) which has ruled Rwanda in a totalitarian way since 1994. For a period of many years, and within the framework of the complaint filed by the International Forum for Truth and Justice in the African Region of the Great Lakes, the judge of the 4th Court of the Audiencia Nacional, Spain’s National Court, centered his investigation on finding those responsible for the death of millions of Rwandan and Congolese people as well as for the murder of 9 Spanish missionaries and volunteers who had been inconvenient witnesses of some of the massacres perpetrated by the RPF.
In early 2009, however, the judge went a step further and turned his attention on the pillage of natural resources taking place in Congo. The magistrate asked U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon for the evidence on which the U.N. itself had based its three reports that attributed responsibility for the pillage primarily to Rwandan president Paul Kagame, a group of mining multinational companies linked to him as well as three other major co-defendants.

Les organisations humanitaires se disent préoccupées de la situation de plus de 20 000 personnes qui ont fui la RDC pour chercher refuge au Congo-Brazzaville.Cet afflux de réfugiés est lié aux violences interethniques qui se sont déclenchées il y a bientôt une semaine dans le nord-ouest de la RDC. Selon les autorités de Kinshasa, parmi ces réfugiés il y a des hommes en armes.
Selon le Haut commissariat des Nations unies pour les refugiés (HCR), plus de 22 000 personnes ont fui les violences interethniques liées à un conflit foncier entre les ethnies Munzaya et Enyele qui se disputent des droits de pêche dans le village de Dongou, dans la province de l’Equateur, en RDC. Selon les autorités de Kinshasa, parmi ces réfugiés il y a des hommes en armes.

Kigali: The Commonwealth advocacy group which opposes the entry of Rwanda into the block is standing by its stance – now accusing the British government of supporting Kigali membership “for reasons that are still not entirely clear”, RNA reports.
In the latest assessment, the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) says Rwanda’s application should wait to be considered at the next Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), not the one to be held this month in Trinidad and Tobago.
“Recently years of Commonwealth diplomacy brought to the Maldives good elections and the end of a president who had ruled for 27 years. In this work the Commonwealth does a great job,” argues Derek Ingram, a CHRI Executive Committee member.

Un débat sans nom entre le régime de Joseph Kabila et la population congolaise a actuellement lieu en R.D. Congo sur l’identité de ceux qui tuent les congolais et incendies les maisons à l’Est de la R.D. Congo.
Le régime de Joseph Kabila aidé par la Monuc et certaines ONG internationales, voudrait faire croire aux congolais et au monde que les FDLR, les LRA, les Fardc impayés, et les Mai-Mai sont ceux qui tuent et incendient les maisons dans cette partie du pays.
La population ainsi que les forces vives congolaises qui sont victimes de ces tueries et incendies, persistent et signent que ce sont les rwandais anciens du CNDP qui ont récemment intégré sans préparation et sans condition l’armée congolaise qui poursuivent leur guerre d’occupation de l’Est de la R.D. Source of Rwandan Refugee Mega-massacres Remains Hidden from Scrutiny. THE REAL ISSUE IS THE RPF CRIMINALS' RULEIt was October 23rd,1996 when Refugee camps of Goma were attacked and many people got slaughtered as the RPF/A was advancing like a knife into butter to take the whole Hutu community back to Rwanda. USA and UK put all the needed logistics and assistance before sending these Tutsi troops to destroy and forcibly bring Hutu refugees back to Rwanda.
Paul Kagamé was made the henchman of the United States and Britain at the Horn of Africa. No decision has been taken in Kigali in the last ten years, which was not approved of by American and British Big Brothers backstage.

Children are the most vulnerable individuals in our society; they are also the most precious commodity that the world has and have a right to be protected from all forms of abuse. Many of the Free World countries (US, Canada and the EU) and INTERPOL as an organization is also committed to eradicating the sexual abuse of children and have passed several resolutions making crimes against children one of International policing top priorities.
Thousands of Hutu children have been imprisoned inside Rwanda, tortured, sent to Uganda for forced work and sex abuses, others forced to adoptions in Tutsi families and otherwise denied rights under the Geneva Conventions and related international agreements.

The "Peace IS Possible" workshop series is presented by the Peace Action Group (PAG) at Seattle's Plymouth Church. "With the USA still at war, many seem to have given up that peace is ever possible. The PAG premise is that if we focus on the many times conflicts have been settled peacefully and learn about a new way of looking at and processing conflict, we will build a group that know Peace IS Possible. It is only when we think it is that we will make it happen."
Park in Plymouth garage between 5th and 6th Ave. on University which is one way east. It is the second opening on the right side of the street. There is a clearly signed tunnel to the elevator.
