May this memorial candle lights up the historical past of our beloved Country: Rwanda, We love U so much. If Tears could build a stairway. And memories were a lane. I would walk right up to heaven. “Unfortunately, despite Rwanda’s progress on economic rights, on women’s rights – on so many development axes – its record on protecting and promoting civil and political rights is less impressive. The United States remains deeply committed to our partnership with Rwanda, but the continued absence of political space – the inability of individuals and journalists to discuss political affairs or report on issues of public concern – poses a serious risk to Rwanda’s future stability. Rwanda can achieve lasting peace and prosperity through a government centered on the principle of democratic accountability, not centered on any one single individual.”
In his arrogant and discourteous response to Ambassador Power, Rwanda’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Eugene Gasana, launched an uncalled for attack against the United States, Ambassador Power, and the United Nations itself.

Rwanda’s Opposition Political Platform (FDU-Inkingi, AMAHORO-PC, PS-Imberakuri, PDP-Imanzi, and Rwanda National Congress-RNC) is not surprised by the low down etiquette from Ambassador Gasana, as President Kagame himself has notoriously engaged in similar outbursts in the past vis-à-vis the US. We estimate Ambassador Samantha Power’s remarks to be right on point, constructive, measured and respectful. Ambassador Power demonstrated diplomatic and leadership skill in articulating the U.S. policy on a difficult subject about a volatile region. Her remarks were directed to four countries in the Great Lakes region that have enjoyed cordial relationships with the United States.
It is our opinion that Ambassador Gasana had no ground to reprimand the U.N. Security Council for its failures in the 1994 Rwanda genocide and to point an accusing finger at Ambassador Power and the United States. He shamelessly glorified President Paul Kagame as the sole “hero” and “precious” man of Rwanda. Against all evidence, he had to lie that Rwanda has deepened democratic governance and pluralism, and that Rwandan citizens have freely chosen Paul Kagame as their president for life!
Ambassador Gasana demonstrated in form and substance the character of the regime and the Head of State he represents at the United Nations: intransigence, belligerence, impunity and the arrogance that comes with absolute power.
After such an arrogant attitude, one must wonder how ordinary citizens in Rwanda are treated if its rulers have no regard whatsoever of how they behave publicly towards other sovereign nations and multilateral institutions, including those who generously allocated significant taxpayer money in form of grants and aid to his heavily aid-dependent Rwanda.
Rwanda’s Opposition Political Platform condemns the disrespectful and shameful behavior of the Kigali regime and its Ambassador at the United Nations. Such a low etiquette runs contrary to the norms of international practice. Most importantly, it is a blatant violation of African values of respect and tolerance.
We commend the efforts of Ambassador Samantha Power and the U.S. Government in adding a consistent voice, as early warning in prevention, for galvanizing national, regional and international action against recurrence of past tragedies.
The Opposition Political Platform strongly believes that human, civil and political rights are the cornerstone of a durable peace and prosperity for Rwanda and the Great Lakes region.
President Kagame and Ambassador Gasana should take heed when citizens and the world at large insist that the current governance deficit and lack of democracy in Rwanda put at great risk its future stability.

Nous avions pensé d’intituler cet article « Maingain qui mange de l’herbe », pour signifier qu’il a honte (kurya ivyatsi), mais les différences culturelles font qu’en Belgique, manger de l’herbe (la laitue) n’est pas si mauvais que ça, c’est même conseillé. Nous maintenons pourtant le sens burundais. Bernard Maingain, habitué aux victoires dans les affaires troubles, comme les tueries rwandaises, a cette fois perdu, peut-être pour de bon.
Dans l’interview qu’il avait accordée à AFRIKARABIA le 11 mai 2015, deux jours avant le coup d’Etat avorté, il avait mis le paquet dans la liste des accusations contre le Président Nkurunziza, contre le Général Adolphe Nshimirimana, contre le parti CNDD-FDD. Il affirmait que de hauts fonctionnaires du Service National de Renseignement lui avaient donné des témoignages fiables, en échange d’une exfiltration et réinstallation dans un autre pays ; ce que Maingain avait fait avec la complicité d’une ONG belge et la fabrication de faux documents (un délit !). Parmi les accusations, on trouve l’armement des imbonerakure, en vue des massacres de la population ; et aussi l’assassinat des trois religieuses italiennes, comme résultant de leurs malentendus avec le Général Adolphe, dans un prétendu trafic d’or.
Le château des mensonges de Maingain perdit son toit en janvier 2016, avec la célèbre video en haoussa, transmise par son réseau de « gens fiables », qui prétendait montrer la consommation du génocide à Karusi. Il est certain que Maingain savait bien que c’étaient des faux montages et il se prêtait volontiers à ce jeu dangereux sachant qu’il aurait gagné la partie comme au Rwanda de Kagame. Mais cette fois, il a PERDU lamentablement. Et ces jours-ci, non seulement le toit est parti, mais aussi les murs s’écroulent. Clovis Kwizera vient d’avouer le crime crapuleux de l’assassinat des sœurs, et nomme comme commanditaire Alexis Sinduhije.
Les analystes le savaient déjà, mais ne pouvaient pas le démontrer. En effet, il n’y a aucun gouvernement au monde qui peut assassiner gratuitement de vieilles sœurs, d’une façon aussi ostentatoire : pour y gagner quoi ? Les religieuses venaient aussi d’un pays pacifique (l’Italie), qui ne vexe jamais ses partenaires. Mais Sinduhije et ses Sindumuja avaient tout à gagner des difficultés occasionnées au gouvernement par ces assassinats ; ça faisait partie de leur plan : ternir l’image du Burundi au Vatican et en Italie, pour avoir le soutien de l’Eglise Catholique. C’est d’ailleurs ce qui arriva, malheureusement.
Quant à Maingain, nous pensons que cette confession des criminels repentis sonne la fin de son intrusion dans les affaires burundaises. Il s’est sûrement rendu compte que ses contacts « fiables » n’ont fait que l’exploiter, pour pouvoir s’expatrier et vivre aux frais du contribuable belge. Roulé dans la farine.

How the supposed
famous and now infamous university ‘authorities dare to invite bigots, homophobes,
and dictators and the Rwandan genocidaire Paul Kagame to speak at university?
Despicable is
the only term which comes to mind when I think about Columbia University
providing this monster with a public forum. This has nothing to do with free speech.
He has the right under our laws to say whatever he wishes. But for a university
to support such a one as this by providing a time and place for him to spew his
venom is beyond belief.
I was chocked to
realize that the Hutu community at Harvard University and others around the
world feel the same as I do withdraw any and all support of this institution of
higher stupidity.
Twenty years
ago, this university has always been my dream. But since I saw them inviting
the Rwandan Hitler, I couldn't sleep. I have even called them asking whether or
not they know Kagame is responsible of more than 8 million Rwandan and
Congolese victims killed and or massacred by Kagame and his RPF.
At the end of
the day, we realize Kagame's views and genocidal ideology publicly discredited
Harvard University.
The Harvard
University's authorities have done everything to prevent tough questions,
challenges and demonstrators against the Rwandan serial killer and genocidaire.
Harvard
University, by inviting the idiot but worse killer General Paul Kagame, is
making Rwandans, Americans and the rest of the world all not only look, but
behave like complete idiots!!

our children and grandchildren who would like to follow their studies at

Après la nomination de Monsieur Jean-Marc Ayrault comme nouveau ministre des Affaires étrangères, quelques 43 parlementaires se sont empressés de lui adresser une lettre[1] dans laquelle ils lui demandent instamment de plaider pour que la France envoie à Kigali une délégation de niveau gouvernemental dans les cérémonies de commémoration du génocide rwandais de 1994 qui auront lieu le 7 avril 2016.[2] En apparence rien de surprenant dans cette démarche si on ne savait pas que le général président rwandais Paul Kagame au pouvoir depuis 1994 avait juré de chaque fois humilier tout délégué français dans cette cérémonie tant que la France officielle n’aura pas demandé pardon pour « avoir pris part » au génocide rwandais. C’est ainsi que Renaud Muselier qui était Secrétaire d’Etat aux Affaires étrangères fut expulsé publiquement par Paul Kagame lui-même du stade de Kigali où se déroulaient les cérémonies et obligé de reprendre son avion vers Paris.Pour essayer de comprendre ce paradoxe des politiciens français , il faut se rappeler que certaines officines qui font le lobbying du dictateur Kagame en France et opérant sous diverses couvertures comme « associations de défense de ceci ou cela : EGAM, Survie, SOS Racisme, FIDH, CPCR etc…connaissent le talon d’Achille de certains politiciens français qui n’hésitent pas à aller contre les intérêts supérieurs de la France ou à mettre en cause l’honneur des armées françaises pour se faire de la publicité ou pour quelques gains de toutes sortes. Ces lobbies en usent et en abusent.
Pour cette année, Paul Kagame étant pour la première fois critiqué même par ses parrains américains pour avoir modifié la Constitution afin de rester président à vie chose faite en décembre 2015, ayant été pris la main dans le sac dans la déstabilisation du Burundi voisin et dénoncé par tous les observateurs objectifs, n’ayant pas encore pu enterrer définitivement l’enquête sur l’attentat du 6 avril 1994 dont il est l’auteur et dans lequel périrent trois militaires français, acte qui déclencha les massacres interethniques qualifiés plus tard de « génocide », le dictateur rwandais a grandement besoin d’un ballon d’oxygène qui serait par exemple un « mea culpa français » prononcé à Kigali le 7 avril 2016 par un membre du Gouvernement français après s’être incliné devant ce mémorial de Gisozi devenu mythique car il abriterait les restes de plus de 300 000 tutsi tués dans la ville de Kigali alors que cette ville ne comptait que 500 000 habitants dont moins de 10% de tutsi selon le dernier recensement supervisé par le PNUD en 1992 !
Qu’à cela ne tienne, voilà qu’il dispose « d’idiots utiles » dans la classe politique française qui promettent de tout faire pour le sortir de cette situation en utilisant justement le « génocide » même s’ils doivent s’accuser eux-mêmes ou d’autres politiciens français des crimes qu’ils n’ont pas commis.
C’est le seul sens qu’il faut donner à cette bizarre missive de 43 parlementaires adressée au Ministre des Affaires Etrangères de leur pays lui demandant d’aller s’agenouiller devant un dictateur africain qualifié de « plus grand criminel de guerre encore en exercice » par les spécialistes de la région. Ainsi vont les empires en décadence comme nous l’a appris l’Histoire !
