A Candle For Remembering
May this memorial candle lights up the historical past of our beloved Country: Rwanda, We love U so much. If Tears could build a stairway. And memories were a lane. I would walk right up to heaven. To bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken. No time to say goodbye. You were gone before I knew it And. Only Paul Kagame knows why. My heart still aches with sadness. And secret tears still flow. What It meant to lose you. No one will ever know.
Why did Kagame this to me?
Can't forget. He murdered my mother. What should be my reaction? FYI: the number of orphans in Rwanda has skyrocketed since the 1990's Kagame's invasion. Much higher numbers of orphans had and have no other option but joining FDLR fighters who are identified as children that have Lost their Parents in Kagame's Wars inside and outside of Rwanda.If someone killed your child/spouse/parent(s) would you seek justice or revenge? Deep insight: What would you do to the person who snuffed the life of someone I love beyond reason? Forgiving would bring me no solace. Le développement économique se réalisant avec les recettes des ressources naturelles congolaises pillées de façon éhontée?
Le développement au Rwanda n’est rien d’autre qu’un ordre oppressant, organisé par un criminel de guerre, un homme portant une coresponsabilité indéniable pour le génocide en 1994 au Rwanda et au Congo, depuis 1996. Un ordre organisé par un homme honoré déjà trop longtemps pour avoir arrêté un génocide que lui-même a commencé. Un ordre organisé par un homme responsable du chaos actuel à l’Est du Congo.

Le rapport « Mapping » des Nations Unies, publié en octobre dernier, sur la République Démocratique du Congo durant la période 1993-2003, démontre la responsabilité énorme de Paul Kagame et son Front Patriotique Rwandais (FPR) dans le génocide des réfugiés Hutu et de la population congolaise. Cela n’empêche pas que Kagame vienne discuter sans honte du développement. Assisté par son ‘grand ami’ et initiateur du groupe informel de l’Union Européenne ‘Les amis du Rwanda’. Il s’agit de l’ancien Ministre belge des Affaires étrangères, l’ancien Commissaire européen à la Coopération au Développement et l’Aide Humanitaire et l’actuel député européen Louis Michel.

En 1996, le Ministre belge de la Coopération au Développement de l’époque, Reginald Moreels, a déclaré sur base des messages des humanitaires et des missionnaires, qu’un génocide contre les réfugiés Hutu et les expatriés congolais avait lieu à l’Est du Zaïre. Mohammed Shanooun, le Représentant des Nations Unies de l’époque, mettait l’ampleur des atrocités au même niveau que le génocide du 1994. Le Secrétaire Général Kofi Annan avouait être choqué par la cruauté des rebelles du FPR. Il parlait d’une ‘lente éradication’ des civils. UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, Amnesty International, le Commissaire européen aux Affaires Humanitaires de l’époque Emma Bonino, des organisations humanitaires (Médecins Sans Frontières, Oxfam, Care), tous ont témoigné que le FPR chassait et tuait les réfugiés. Ils sont massacrés, battus, brûlés, coupés en morceaux, enterrés vivants. Kagame était le dirigeant de l’armée.Maintenant, il est encore président, et a récemment obtenu un deuxième mandat. Un Chef d’Etat siégeant ne peut être inculpé par la Cour Pénal International pour des crimes commis avant juillet 2002. Kagame échappe – pour l’instant- à la justice.
Cessons de contribuer par les programmes de développements et de l’aide budgétaire – et donc d’être coresponsable !- à la construction d’un état totalitaire violant systématiquement les droits de l’homme. C’est un état bafouant les droits de l’opposition et accordant le pouvoir à une petite élite. Cessons de soutenir un système judiciaire et la construction des prisons dans lesquelles des leaders d’opposition comme Victoire Ingabire sont détenus sur base des fausses accusations et sans aucune perspective d’un procès équitable.
Cessons de serrer la main à Paul Kagame
Le temps de l’hypocrisie est passé. Et la carte « génocide » qui a permis Kagame durant des années, surtout grâce aux Etats-Unis et au Royaume Uni, de déstabiliser le Congo et de bombarder les camps des réfugiés, peut enfin être déjouée.

De Verenigde Naties hebben gisteren een rapport herzien, waarin gedetailleerd verslag wordt gedaan van de schending van de mensenrechten in Oost-Congo tussen 1993 en 2003. Nadat Rwanda en Oeganda bijzonder boos hadden gereageerd op de ontwerpversie van het rapport, waarin gewag gemaakt werd van genocide.

De definitieve versie is minder stellig dan het eerder uitgelekte ontwerp. Door hier en daar 'kennelijk' en 'vermoedelijk' in te voegen, en vooral door extra paragrafen die duidelijk moeten maken hoe moeilijk 'genocide' te bewijzen is voor een rechtbank.
