A Candle For Remembering

A Candle For Remembering
May this memorial candle lights up the historical past of our beloved Country: Rwanda, We love U so much. If Tears could build a stairway. And memories were a lane. I would walk right up to heaven. To bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken. No time to say goodbye. You were gone before I knew it And. Only Paul Kagame knows why. My heart still aches with sadness. And secret tears still flow. What It meant to lose you. No one will ever know.

Rwanda: Cartographie des crimes

Let us remember Our People

Let us remember our people, it is our right

You can't stop thinking

Don't you know Rwandans are talkin' 'bout a revolution It sounds like a whisper The majority Hutus and interior Tutsi are gonna rise up And get their share SurViVors are gonna rise up And take what's theirs. We're the survivors, yes: the Hutu survivors! Yes, we're the survivors, like Daniel out of the lions' den (Hutu survivors) Survivors, survivors! Get up, stand up, stand up for your rights et up, stand up, don't give up the fight “I’m never gonna hold you like I did / Or say I love you to the kids / You’re never gonna see it in my eyes / It’s not gonna hurt me when you cry / I’m not gonna miss you.” The situation is undeniably hurtful but we can'stop thinking we’re heartbroken over the loss of our beloved ones. "You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom". Malcolm X

Welcome to Home Truths

The year is 1994, the Fruitful year and the Start of a long epoch of the Rwandan RPF bloody dictatorship. Rwanda and DRC have become a unique arena and fertile ground for wars and lies. Tutsi RPF members deny Rights and Justice to the Hutu majority, to Interior Tutsis, to Congolese people, publicly claim the status of victim as the only SurViVors while millions of Hutu, interior Tutsi and Congolese people were butchered. Please make RPF criminals a Day One priority. Allow voices of the REAL victims to be heard.

Everybody Hurts

“Everybody Hurts” is one of the rare songs on this list that actually offers catharsis. It’s beautifully simple: you’re sad, but you’re not alone because “everybody hurts, everybody cries.” You’re human, in other words, and we all have our moments. So take R.E.M.’s advice, “take comfort in your friends,” blast this song, have yourself a good cry, and then move on. You’ll feel better, I promise.—Bonnie Stiernberg

KAGAME - GENOCIDAIRE

Paul Kagame admits ordering...

Paul Kagame admits ordering the 1994 assassination of President Juvenal Habyarimana of Rwanda.

Why did Kagame this to me?

Why did Kagame this to me?
Can't forget. He murdered my mother. What should be my reaction? FYI: the number of orphans in Rwanda has skyrocketed since the 1990's Kagame's invasion. Much higher numbers of orphans had and have no other option but joining FDLR fighters who are identified as children that have Lost their Parents in Kagame's Wars inside and outside of Rwanda. If someone killed your child/spouse/parent(s) would you seek justice or revenge? Deep insight: What would you do to the person who snuffed the life of someone I love beyond reason? Forgiving would bring me no solace. If you take what really matters to me, I will show you what really matters. NITUTIRWANAHO TUZASHIRA. IGIHE KIRAGEZE.If democracy is to sell one's motherland(Africa), for some zionits support, then I prefer the person who is ready to give all his live for his motherland. Viva President Putin!!!

RPF committed the unspeakable

RPF committed the unspeakable
The perverted RPF committed the UNSPEAKABLE.Two orphans, both against the Nazi world. Point is the fact that their parents' murder Kagame & his RPF held no shock in the Western world. Up to now, the Rwandan Hitler Kagame and his death squads still enjoy impunity inside and outside of Rwanda. What goes through someone's mind as they know RPF murdered their parents? A delayed punishment is actually an encouragement to crime, In Praise of the ongoing Bloodshed in Rwanda. “I always think I am a pro-peace person but if someone harmed someone near and dear to me, I don't think I could be so peaceful. I would like to believe that to seek justice could save millions of people living the African Great Lakes Region - I would devote myself to bringing the 'perp' along to a non-happy ending but would that be enough? You'd have to be in the situation I suppose before you could actually know how you would feel or what you would do”. Jean-Christophe Nizeyimana, Libre Penseur

Rwanda-rebranding

Rwanda-rebranding-Targeting dissidents inside and abroad, despite war crimes and repression Rwanda has “A well primed PR machine”, and that this has been key in “persuading the key members of the international community that it has an exemplary constitution emphasizing democracy, power-sharing, and human rights which it fully respects”. It concluded: “The truth is, however, the opposite. What you see is not what you get: A FAÇADE” Rwanda has hired several PR firms to work on deflecting criticism, and rebranding the country.

Targeting dissidents abroad One of the more worrying aspects of Racepoint’s objectives was to “Educate and correct the ill informed and factually incorrect information perpetuated by certain groups of expatriates and NGOs,” including, presumably, the critiques of the crackdown on dissent among political opponents overseas. This should be seen in the context of accusations that Rwanda has plotted to kill dissidents abroad. A recent investigation by the Globe and Mail claims, “Rwandan exiles in both South Africa and Belgium – speaking in clandestine meetings in secure locations because of their fears of attack – gave detailed accounts of being recruited to assassinate critics of President Kagame….

Ways To Get Rid of Kagame

How to proceed for revolution in Rwanda:
  1. The people should overthrow the Rwandan dictator (often put in place by foreign agencies) and throw him, along with his henchmen and family, out of the country – e.g., the Shah of Iran, Marcos of Philippines.Compaore of Burkina Faso
  2. Rwandans organize a violent revolution and have the dictator killed – e.g., Ceaucescu in Romania.
  3. Foreign powers (till then maintaining the dictator) force the dictator to exile without armed intervention – e.g. Mátyás Rákosi of Hungary was exiled by the Soviets to Kirgizia in 1970 to “seek medical attention”.
  4. Foreign powers march in and remove the dictator (whom they either instated or helped earlier) – e.g. Saddam Hussein of Iraq or Manuel Noriega of Panama.
  5. The dictator kills himself in an act of desperation – e.g., Hitler in 1945.
  6. The dictator is assassinated by people near him – e.g., Julius Caesar of Rome in 44 AD was stabbed by 60-70 people (only one wound was fatal though).
  7. Organise strikes and unrest to paralyze the country and convince even the army not to support the dictaor – e.g., Jorge Ubico y Castañeda was ousted in Guatemala in 1944 and Guatemala became democratic, Recedntly in Burkina Faso with the dictator Blaise Compaoré.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Rwanda
Canadians are strongly advised to remain vigilant and avoid large crowds. In recent years, a number of grenade attacks have taken place throughout the country, particularly in Kigali and the Southern Province. The attacks usually occur at nightfall and take place at busy locations such as bus stations. On January 3, 2012, a grenade explosion killed two people and injured several others at Marembo Center in the Gasabo District of Kigali. On January 24, 2012, a grenade attack wounded 10 people in the town of Gitarama in the Muhanga district.

Pickpocketing and petty crimes take place.
Regional Warning: Regions Bordering Burundi and the DRC
OFFICIAL WARNING: Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against non-essential travel to the rural areas bordering Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) – except to the towns of Gisenyi, Kibuye, and Cyangugu – because of possible incursions by various rebel army groups.

The presence and movement of Rwandan refugees returning from neighbouring countries may cause tensions in rural areas. Although significant progress has been made in promoting national reconciliation, the security situation in these rural areas remains fragile. No violent incidents have been reported recently in the towns of Gisenyi, Kibuye, and Cyangugu, near the border with the DRC, or in the town of Butare, near the border with Burundi.

The Rwanda-DRC border could be closed without notice.

OFFICIAL REGISTRATION RECOMMENDATION: We offer a registration service for all Canadians travelling or living abroad. This service is provided so that we can contact and assist you in an emergency abroad, such as a natural disaster or civil unrest, or inform you of a family emergency at home. Registration can be done on-line or by contacting a Canadian government office abroad. For more information, see our FAQs on Registration of Canadians Abroad.

3. SAFETY AND SECURITY

The decision to travel is the sole responsibility of the traveller. Travellers are responsible for their own personal safety. The Government of Canada takes the safety and security of Canadians abroad very seriously and provides credible and timely advice in its Travel Reports. In the event of a crisis situation that requires evacuation, the Government of Canada’s policy is to provide safe transportation to the closest safe location. Canada will assist Canadians in leaving a country or a region as a last resort, when all means of commercial or personal transportation have been exhausted. This service is provided on a cost-recovery basis. Onward travel is at the individual’s personal expense. Situations vary from one location to another, and there may be constraints on government resources, which can limit the ability of the Government of Canada to provide assistance, particularly in countries or regions where the potential for violent conflict or political instability are high.

Rwanda
This advice has been reviewed and reissued with amendments to the Travel Summary and the Safety and Security - Grenade Attacks section (grenade attack in Gitarama on 24 January 2012). The overall level of the advice has not changed; we advise against all travel to specific parts of Rwanda and against all but essential travel to other specific parts of Rwanda.

Travel Summary
There was a confirmed grenade attack along a main road in the town of Gitarama on the evening of 24 January. Approximately 14 people were injured.

We advise against all travel to the rural border areas with Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), except to the towns of Gisenyi, Kibuye and Cyangugu. We advise against all travel to Eastern DRC except for Goma and Bukavu. We advise against all but essential travel to Goma and Bukavu. This is because of the risk of cross-border incursions by armed guerrillas operating from DRC’s Kivu provinces and ongoing instability in Eastern Congo. Please see the Local Travel section for advice on gorilla trekking in Rwanda.

We advise against all but essential travel to the rural border areas of Burundi. See Burundi Travel Advice if you are planning to visit Burundi.

Crime levels are relatively low but there have been recent incidents of street crime. You should exercise caution at night.

There is a low threat from terrorism. But you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate terrorist attacks which could be in public areas, including those frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance before travelling. See the General (Insurance) section of this Travel Advice.

Safety and security

Safety and Security – Grenade Attacks
The Rwandan Police have confirmed a grenade attack in Gitarama on 24 January. There were approximately 14 casualties but no deaths. Police are investigating and it has been reported that two suspects have been arrested.
There have been previous reports of random grenade attacks, resulting in fatalities and injuries. These include one in 2012: on 3 January in the Gasabo District of Kagali in which two people were killed and 18 injured. There were three in 2011: in January and March in Kigali in Rusizi town in the Western Province in July People have been arrested and convicted but it remains unclear who is behind these attacks and we advise travellers to maintain at least the same level of personal security awareness as in the UK.

Safety and Security - Terrorism
There is a low threat from terrorism. But you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate terrorist attacks which could be in public areas, including those frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.

See our Terrorism Abroad.

Safety and Security - Crime
Levels of crime remain relatively low in Rwanda. There has, however, been an increase in reports of bag snatching and mugging incidents targeting expatriates and tourists.

You should take sensible precautions i.e. exercise caution when walking at night, arrange transport, do not carry large amounts of money and do not leave cars unsupervised in the town centre. Take care who you talk to, who you invite to your home or hotel and who you hire as a taxi driver just as you would in UK.

See our Victims of Crime Abroad page.

Safety and Security - Local Travel
Areas bordering Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
We advise against all travel to the rural border areas with Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), except to the towns of Gisenyi, Kibuye and Cyangugu. This is because of the risk of cross-border incursions by armed guerrillas operating from DRC’s Kivu provinces and the ongoing trouble in Eastern Congo where there is a UN peacekeeping force, MONUSCO, operating and the presence of various rebel groups. The visa requirements at the border between DRC and Rwanda have changed. Please see DRC Travel Advice for more details. Please monitor FCO’s Travel Advice section for any updates.

RWANDANS SUPPORTING VICTOIRE INGABIRE UMUHOZA

Hundreds of Rwandans came together for the support of Rwandan Opposition leader Madam Victoire Umuhoza Ingabire.

All your armies, All your fighters,
All your tanks and all your soldiers.
Against a boy holding a stone,
Standing there all alone.
In his eyes I see the sun,
In his smile I see the moon.
And I wonder I only wonder.
Who is weak and who is strong,
who is right and who is wrong.
And I wish I only wish.
That the truth has a tongue. (Qasem Qasem, 2000)

After the UN Security Council did nothing to bring perpetrators named in the UN Mapping report, Congolese Hutu children prefer dying throwing volcanic stones to the self-proclaimed president: Joseph Kabila, the Rwandan and Kagame's puppet in DRC.

The prevention of genocide and apprehension of RPF criminals is the duty of the UN Security Council. the non-punishment of the criminals has been the source of Twin crimes in our world, which remain unpunished:
  1. Praising the Rwandan and the Ugandan bloody dictators: Kagame-Museveni
  2. Mass-slaughter in Rwanda, Uganda and DRC by both bloody dictators led to the Genocide in both Rwanda and DRC.

Images of stone-throwing Congolese Hutu youths angry with the north Kivu authorities for their colleague reported missing. Instead of investigating the incident, the DRC north province prefer to use force. These are one of the enduring images of the beginning of Kabila's failure to bring peace to congo and stop cooperating with the mastermind of the Congolese genocide: Paul kagame, but how does the portrayal on television differ from the reality on the ground? Probably there will be no say or the event will be minimized by some of western media pro DRC lootings and Congolese genocide.

Part 2 Trial Victoire Ingabire

Wednesday januari 24, 2012

Last saturday party members and supporters of opposition leader Victoire Ingabire demonstrated in front of the Dutch parliament in The Hague. They asked the Dutch people not to go along with the policy of the Dutch government considering Rwanda. The Dutch government pays every year millions of euro's for the development of the Rwandees judicial system.

It's that same judicial system which is used by the Rwandese government to arrest and put into jail those who criticize the regime, using dubious laws to accuse people of genocide ideology, divisionism or ties with the Hutu-rebels of the FDLR.

its that same judicial system that arrested Victoire Ingabire and put her into jail. She's there since october 2010, living under not the best circumstances to say the least. Her trial started in august 2011, it's uncertain when it will end as her trial is postponed again. Now because prosecution needs more time for the translation of the more then 600 documents, sent to rwanda by the Dutch government in November. That's another way in which the Dutch are helping Rwanda: by sending documents and doing house searches in Holland.

President Paul Kagame is clear in how he sees Victoire Ingabire. On several occasions he said publicly that 'that woman' belongs in jail. The last time was during an interview with CNN, december 12th, 2011. 'That woman deserves only prison'.

Also clear are the problems prosecution is dealing with concerning the evidence. From the start prosecution declared there was more then enough to send her to jail. But again and again, prosecution seized every opportunity to get more evidence, and again and again prosecution tried to rely the trial. It's also clear, evidence is manipulated. It's also clear the lawyers of Ingabire miss some of the documents belonging to her file. Then there are the four co-accused. It's clear prosecution has put them under a lot of pressure. And it's also clear prosecution sees them more like witnesses, not like co-accused. It's also clear the judges handling this trial are biassed.

Nevertheless, the Dutch government persists in her view of a fair trial for Ingabire and refuses to acknowledge her as a political prisoner.

That's why FDU-Inkingi askes in a petition to the Dutch government that they should declare the trial of Ingabire has lost all credibility. The Dutch government should also ask for immediate release of all political prisoners, not only the release of Ingabire, but also for example the release of Deogratias Mushayidi, Theoneste Niytegaka, Charles Ntakiutinka and Bernard Ntaganda. Also all support to Rwanda must be frozen.

While demonstrating, the Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte passed by coincidentally. De demonstrators seized the occasion and offered him the petition. He took it, all smiles. Let's see if he does anything with it.

[Since 1994, the world witnesses the horrifying reality : the Tutsi minority (14%) ethnic domination, the Tutsi minority ethnic rule, tyranny and corruption in Rwanda. The current government has been characterized by the total impunity of RPF criminals, the Tutsi economic monopoly, the Tutsi militaristic domination with an iron fist, and the brutal suppression of the rights of the majority of the Rwandan people (85% are Hutus), mass-arrests and mass-murder by the RPF criminal organization.

So long as justice and accountability for RPF past and current crimes are ignored and delayed, Peace and Stability will remain illusive and impossible in Rwanda=>ASIF]

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - On the 1st October 2011, I published a confession in which I stated that Paul Kagame, then overall commander of the Rwandese Patriotic Army, the armed wing of the Rwandese Patriotic Front, was personally responsible for the shooting down of the plane on April 6, 1994, in which President Juvenal Habyarimana of Rwanda.

Others killed in the crash:

President C. Ntaryamira
President of Burundi
President Cyprian Ntaryamira of Burundi
Deogratias Nsabimana
Elie Sagatwa
Thaddee Bagaragaza
Emmanuel Akingeneye
Bernard Ciza
Cyriaque Simbizi
Jacky Heraud

Dr. Thoegene Rudasingwa

I stated that Paul Kagame himself had told me, in July 1994, that he was responsible for the shooting down of the plane. I stated that Paul Kagame has to be brought to account for his role in this terrorist crime that provided a trigger for the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

have also stated that myself and other witnesses are willing, able, and ready to provide further evidence to national or/and international jurisdictions interested in contributing to truth, justice, reconciliation and healing in Rwanda.

Neither myself nor other new, willing, and able witnesses have yet been able to meet Judge Marc Trevidic, or any other international tribunal/court. to give the true account of the events surrounding the shooting down of the plane.

Today, 10th January, 2012, the French Judge, Marc Trevidic, investigating the 1994 terrorist crime, made public the findings of the Technical Report by ballistic experts. Among other things, the technical report stated that:

President J. Habyarimana
President of Rwanda
Rwanda Pres. Juvenal Habyarimana

a) the experts were leaning more towards the version of the events that the missile that shot down the plane originated from several areas, especially around the Kanombe area in Kigali;
b) the missiles were made and supplied from the former Soviet Union and,
c) lawyers and other interested parties have up to three months to contest any matters arising from the report.
In this regard, I would like to state the following:
1. That the missile was fired from a number of areas in the Kanombe area does not exonerate Paul Kagame from having committed the crime;
2. That the missiles were of Soviet Union origin will prove to be of substantive help in establishing who the real culprit is, and;
3. That there is time for us ( myself and other interested and new witnesses) to respond fully to the technical report and provide credible testimony to Judge Marc Trevidic, or any other in the international jurisdiction, to pin down Paul Kagame as the culprit in this terrorist crime.

Rwanda Pres. Paul Kagame

I stand fully behind the letter and spirit of my October 1st, 2011 confession. Judge Marc Trevidic’s technical report has not proved me wrong. Nor has it exonerated Paul Kagame from this crime, and yet Kigali is spinning the story out of context to celebrate what it calls “victory”. In the coming months and years, myself, other witnesses, Rwandans and others in the international community who heed the call, will continue to endeavor to have Paul Kagame account for his role in this and other crimes.

I would like to remind all Rwandans and the international community that this is not Judge Marc Trevidic’s final judgment on the matter. Furthermore, matters of truth and justice for Rwandans will primarily be decided by us Rwandans. Even when the international community and foreigners in general have had the reputation of disappointing Rwandans, we must have faith in our struggle for truth, justice, healing, and reconciliation.
Let us mobilize and organize, for truth and justice shall ultimately prevail.

We shall win.
Dr. Theogene Rudasingwa

By Graham Holliday

KIGALI Jan 6 (Reuters) - Just over a year since President Paul Kagame's landslide election win, observers have lauded economic progress in Rwanda but warned a lack of political freedom and media restrictions have dented any reforms.

Kagame, in his final term which expires in 2017, has denied he has cracked down on political opposition and said he is a freedom fighter.

"People say that there is no political space ... Actually, the only space lacking is the one that is occupied by these intruders. This nonsense from outside is occupying our space," Kagame said in a speech to parliament last month.

Below are some of the political risks facing Rwanda:

POLITICAL OPPONENTS

Former chief of staff Kayumba Nyamwasa and a former chief of military intelligence, Patrick Karegyeya, both sentenced to 20 years in jail in absentia by a military court, formed the Rwanda National Congress (RNC) opposition party in December 2010.

Rwanda says the two have formed a rebel group and are collaborating with the country's enemies.

The trial of opposition politician Victoire Ingabire, leader of the unregistered FDU-Inkingi party, which started in September 2011, is set to resume on January 16. She faces charges including denying the genocide, divisionism and working with a terrorist group.

Kagame's election win underlined his domination of the political arena. He has been praised for restoring stability after the 1994 genocide and engineering Rwanda's rapid economic recovery and vision of being a middle-income country by 2020.

But critics accuse Kagame of being authoritarian and of trampling on media and political freedoms.

Any debate over a third term for Kagame is said to be "undesirable" by key sources in the government, because it damages the reputation of the country in the eyes of critics who say the political class has no democratic credentials.

Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, has said although Rwanda's economy has grown, its political culture remains comparatively closed and media restricted.

What to watch:

-- Trial of Ingabire. The case remains a major test of the independence of Rwanda's judiciary. Her British lawyer claimed the laws under which she is being tried were not enacted at the time the crimes were alleged to have been committed, or they lie outside the jurisdiction of the court.

Ingabire denies funding FDLR Hutu rebels and says her detention is politically motivated.

-- Theogene Rudasingwa, a former chief of staff to Kagame, said on Facebook on Oct. 1 that Kagame "was personally responsible" for the shooting down of the plane carrying President Juvenal Habyarimana in 1994, which sparked the start of the genocide. Rudasingwa was formerly ambassador to the U.S. and a founding member of the RNC.
-- Trial of Laurent Nkunda. The former leader of the National Congress for the Defence of the People (CNDP), a rebel force that repeatedly routed Democratic Republic of Congo's army, has been under house arrest in Rwanda since January 2009.

Rwandan law forbids the extradition of people to states such as Congo that have the death penalty. Nkunda's trial has been postponed four times since the case was passed to the military courts in April 2010.

-- The media. A bill to amend the 2009 media law, emphasizing self-regulation and creation of an independent monitor, is currently being debated by the political and gender committee in parliament.

A draft law on access to information is also expected to be enacted in the near future. It will be the first of its kind in Rwanda.

Some observers see the draft media law as a positive move, but remain concerned the changes will remain on paper alone due to limited media outlets. Two newspapers banned in 2010 for six months have failed to resume publication. The editors of Umuseso and Umuvugizi now reside in exile and publish online.

POLITICAL RIFTS, CONGO TENSIONS

Kagame's war on graft, which has led to Rwanda being ranked as the least corrupt nation in east Africa, has seen his former political associates arrested on graft allegations.

Rwandan officials are required to declare their wealth by June 30 every year, but 361 government officials did not meet the deadline in 2011. Diplomats say while the government wants to clean up its act to attract more direct foreign investment, its plans are being hampered by some of its own members.

No judicial action or even investigation is underway:
Hutus are facing ethnic discrimination in Education, in business and in employment.
We read every single day in the Convention on the prevention and punishment of genocide those notorious words:

“…acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, religious group…” and then “… deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part”: in the name of "economic" development and overpopulation, we see the world community  keeping silence on the inhuman expropriation, the spread of HIV/AIDS by all possible means, overpopulation in prisons, increase of measures silencing criticism, laws against freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, etc.

All measures taken by the RPF government including the 2020 notarious objective are intended and connected to achieve the results of the ongoing planned genocide o f the Hutu, the ethnic majority of Rwanda, acts that are extended  to and taking place in neighboring countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo. On the contrary, the Rwandan bloody dictator Paul  Kagame, the mastermind of the Rwandan and Congolese genocide is invited across the world and is welcomed with the red carpet.

General Romeo Dallire had to lieve Rwanda after being sure the Genocide has taken place and thus RPF would seize power in Kigali according to the plan. Millions of innocent people were brutally murdered in Rwanda. He has never been mentioned even thaugh he made  investigations of the assassinated children, wives and all of those who perished because of him without bringing the presumed RPF death squads RPF leaders to justice.

New Year 2012 Pictures, Comments, Images, Graphics, Photos
While we continue this effort in collaboration and cooperation with other Human Rights organizations working in Africa and network around the globe, As International will continue to call on the intervention of UN Security Council, Amnesty International, Human rights Watch and other NGOs working and promoting Human Rights in Africa to help ending conflicts and human rights violations in that region.
The critical issue in DRC should be HIGHLY taken for serious by the UN Security Council and organize new and fair elections for the sake of Justice, Freedom and RESPECT FOR THE CONGOLESE PEOPLE's CHOICE.

The year 2012 is significant for African SurViVors International: HOPE

In response to the CURRENT critical humanitarian crisis in Rwanda, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi, As International calls on all of other organizations to cooperatively work with us for stopping the bloodyshed in the our African Great Lakes Region.
As we said before, you can't talk about Christmas without mentioning Jesus. In the same context, you cannot talk about human rights abuses in Rwanda, congo, war crimes in Congo, crimes against Humanity in Congo and genocide without mentioning General Paul Kagame, the mastermind of the Rwandan and Congolises Genocides, a criminal STILL AT LARGE.
Concerning the DRC, an independent inquiry was necessay than ever to determine those who are involved in the conflict and who are committing all kind of inimaginable crimes on the Congolese soil: Multinational mining companies, American and Briths individuals, Rwandan government (RDF),RCD,CNDP,FARDC, MONUC, and other RPF newly created proxy armies. Concerning Rwanda, a sustained dialogue among Rwandans is more than necessary to end the regional conflict. The dialogue should be helping conflictual parties and the civil societies to map and name problems and relationships. A dialogue sustained over time can produce such a transforming political process.

Our motto for 2012: Freedom for all prisoners of conscience: Ms Ingabire Victoire, Me Ntaganda Bernard, Mushayidi Deogratias and many others plus journalists. All of them are those who were  arrested by the dictator Rwandan Paul Kagame, detained and imprisoned for acts in furtherance of their political beliefs. As a consequence, they are arbitrarily denied their liberty and due process of law.
They are charged with political offenses. But more often than not they are charged with criminal offenses in an effort to deny the political nature of their alleged offenses and to stigmatize them as plain criminals guilty of the most heinous crimes such as rebellion, negationism, genocidal ideology, terrorism and variations thereof. These are all non-bailable offenses meant to keep the all of our political leaders incarcerated while court hearings proceeded at snail's pace.

They are all victims of political repression and state terrorism which are the General Kagame and RPF government's reaction to dissent, criticism, political activism and defense of human rights.

Amsterdam - The African SurViVors International Foundation (As International) Committee, along with all survivors across the world particularly in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of The Congo, Afganistan, Rwanda, Somalia and Burundi, along with the staff at national headquarters in Wilnis in The Netherlands, would like to take this moment to wish you and your family a Blessed Christmas Day and the Happy New Year 2012!

This is the time of year when you can take stock of the blessings you have, and plan for new success in the New Year. One of the blessings we have here at ASIF are our members, partners, and volunteers, because it simply would not happen without all of you. Human rights are the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world. When human rights are not respected, tension and even armed conflict often follow. That what we actually live in the Congo, across Rwanda, Somalia and Darfur in Sudan.

The New Year 2012 provides exciting opportunities to all of us, but our success depends on all of us working together toward our goals of Human Rights education, conflict resolution, culture of good governance, and democratic values, Justice and reconciliation. The UN Charter makes this clear by affirming its “faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and nations large and small.”

The World Programme for Human Rights Education points out that “Human rights education encompasses:

Human rights is not a subject that can be studied at a distance. All people at all levels in Africa should not just learn about the Universal Declaration, about racial injustice, discrimination, war crimes and genocide or about poverty in developing countries without also being challenged to think about what it all means for them personally. As human rights educator and advocate, African SurVivors International staff members must ask the involved people, students and ourselves, “How does this all relate to the way we live our lives?” The answers to this question will tell us much about how effectively we have taught our students and different community members in different workshops.
(a) Knowledge and skills — learning about human rights and mechanisms for their protection, as well as acquiring skills to apply them in daily life;
(b) Values, attitudes and behaviour — developing values and reinforcing attitudes and behavior, which uphold human rights;
(c) Action — taking action to defend and promote human rights around the world.”

Using information and communication technologies (ICTs) to promote human rights education.

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”
Plan an Internet event or campaign

Using the Internet to advertise and even to host an event is a growing trend in communication and in outreach.
Thank you for being a friend, member, partner and supporter, and best wishes from our family to yours!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays 2012 from African SurViVors International!

We look forward to enjoying great New Year 2012 with all of you!

Be healthy, wealthy and sound!

Deep insight: Rwanda genocide: Bagosora's life sentence reduced

A man who was seen as a key organiser of the Rwandan genocide has had his sentence reduced from life to 35 years.

Theoneste Bagosora was a senior figure in Rwanda's ministry of defence at the time of the massacres.
General Paul Kagame, the probably mastermind of the Rwandan Genocide remains at large. To help Rwandans to reconcile, Paul Kagame should be apprehended and brought to JUSTICE. To understand the issue, we call on our readers to listen tothe French Professor Lugan here below:

Génocide rwandais : renversement de perspective
Geüpload door realpolitiktv. - De allerlaatste nieuwscontent.
[In 1994 around 800,000 people - mostly from the Tutsi ethnic group - were killed in just 100 days.=> This is the  refrain (from Vulgar Latin refringere, "to repeat", and later from Old French refraindre)  repeated in Kagame's music or in verse; the "chorus" of RPF followers'song to hide the Truth about millions of Hutus and Tutsis mass-slaughtered by Paul Kagame. RPF and Kagame pro-media will always repeat it as to insist on Kagame's scenario about the 1994 tragic events].
The UN-backed International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) convicted Bagosora of genocide and crimes against humanity three years ago.
He was arrested 15 years ago in Cameroon and his trial at the Rwanda tribunal in the Tanzanian city of Arusha began in 2002.
Appeal judges in Arusha cleared him of some of the charges he faced, including ordering killings at roadblocks in the capital, Kigali.

But his convictions for genocide and crimes against humanity were upheld.

Co-accused to be freed
The BBC's East Africa correspondent Will Ross says he decision has angered some Rwandans who are are questioning why a man who played such a key role in the genocide would have his sentence reduced.

Around 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed in Rwanda in 1994 They point to the fact that many others who were lowing ranking genocide convicts were given life sentences.

In 1994, Bagosora was chief of staff in the ministry of defence and effectively in charge of the soldiers who took part in the massacres.

The killings began after the plane carrying Rwanda's then-President Juvenal Habyarimana was shot down on 6 April 1994, killing everyone on board.

The appeals court found that he knew the crimes were going to be committed and did nothing to stop them, the AFP news agency reports.
At his trial, Bagosora, who is a Hutu, maintained he was a victim of propaganda by Rwanda's current Tutsi-dominated government.
Bagosora is 70 years old. With time already served, his 35-year sentence will see him imprisoned until he is 89.
One of the men convicted alongside Bagosora, Anatole Nsengiyumva, has had his sentence reduced on appeal to 15 years, and will be released because of time served, says AFP.

Profile

I am Jean-Christophe Nizeyimana, an Economist, Content Manager, and EDI Expert, driven by a passion for human rights activism. With a deep commitment to advancing human rights in Africa, particularly in the Great Lakes region, I established this blog following firsthand experiences with human rights violations in Rwanda and in the DRC (formerly Zaïre) as well. My journey began with collaborations with Amnesty International in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and with human rights organizations including Human Rights Watch and a conference in Helsinki, Finland, where I was a panelist with other activists from various countries. My mission is to uncover the untold truth about the ongoing genocide in Rwanda and the DRC. As a dedicated voice for the voiceless, I strive to raise awareness about the tragic consequences of these events and work tirelessly to bring an end to the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF)'s impunity. This blog is a platform for Truth and Justice, not a space for hate. I am vigilant against hate speech or ignorant comments, moderating all discussions to ensure a respectful and informed dialogue at African Survivors International Blog.

Genocide masterminded by RPF

Finally the well-known Truth Comes Out. After suffering THE LONG years, telling the world that Kagame and his RPF criminal organization masterminded the Rwandan genocide that they later recalled Genocide against Tutsis. Our lives were nothing but suffering these last 32 years beginning from October 1st, 1990 onwards. We are calling the United States of America, United Kingdom, Japan, and Great Britain in particular, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany to return to hidden classified archives and support Honorable Tito Rutaremara's recent statement about What really happened in Rwanda before, during and after 1994 across the country and how methodically the Rwandan Genocide has been masterminded by Paul Kagame, the Rwandan Hitler. Above all, Mr. Tito Rutaremara, one of the RPF leaders has given details about RPF infiltration methods in Habyarimana's all instances, how assassinations, disappearances, mass-slaughters across Rwanda have been carried out from the local autority to the government, fabricated lies that have been used by Gacaca courts as weapon, the ICTR in which RPF had infiltrators like Joseph Ngarambe, an International court biased judgments & condemnations targeting Hutu ethnic members in contraversal strategy compared to the ICTR establishment to pursue in justice those accountable for crimes between 1993 to 2003 and Mapping Report ignored and classified to protect the Rwandan Nazis under the RPF embrella . NOTHING LASTS FOREVER.

Everything happens for a reason

Bad things are going to happen in your life, people will hurt you, disrespect you, play with your feelings.. But you shouldn't use that as an excuse to fail to go on and to hurt the whole world. You will end up hurting yourself and wasting your precious time. Don't always think of revenging, just let things go and move on with your life. Remember everything happens for a reason and when one door closes, the other opens for you with new blessings and love.
